We want our customers to have the best possible operating environment in which to operate Newton. We test, validate, and recommend only the most stable, cost effect and commercially acceptable operating platforms. While there are potentially many solutions, we have identified and support only the environments best suited for you and Newton with cloud hosting, or a local installation.

Our application is designed to run on Microsoft Windows Operating Systems and is works equally well in your local office or with cloud hosting. With either option, your data is completely under your control and can be moved at any time.

Local Install:

These are supported setup options and any deviation may result in reduced functionality. You or your technician may contact us with any questions you may have.

  • Single user, single PC
  • Peer-to-Peer workgroup using TCP/IP and DNS (five or less users)
  • Microsoft Windows Server/Client (five or more users)
  • Remote Desktop to RDP server acting as the PSQL server or client (Terminal Server)
  • Hardware Recommendations

Cloud Hosting:

Cloud hosting provides a terminal server connection in a secure cloud data center that is accessed over your internet connection, and is available in a shared or dedicated server configuration.

Access to support staff is included with your cloud hosting agreement. The support staff will perform many common server administrator tasks including adding new users, configuring new workstations, and will ensure common third-party programs are operating effectively. Their support staff will reduce the amount of work required by a local IT professional, and is a true turnkey solution.

Cloud hosting utilizes multiple servers for redundancy purposes, resulting in a scalable, protected server platform with around the clock access.

Backups are completed automatically each night, including Newton data, and user profile folders.

Microsoft Office applications you need can be deployed directly within the hosted environment. Microsoft Office licensing is offered by the cloud hosting provider for an additional fee.
